Dr Faizan Kalekhan is an Aesthetic Dermatologist working in Kanhangad at Shashirekha Multispeciality Hospital and at Dr Prajwal’s Laser and Cosmetic Surgery Centre, Mangalore. His primary field of interest being Cosmetology, he is also well versed in Clinical Dermatology as well. He deals with any dermatological issue related to skin, hair and nail. He also has an expertise in the field of Cosmetology especially Lasers, Botox, Fillers and Thread lifts and has a special interest in Hair Transplantation.
He pursued his basic Under graduation (MBBS) from Father Muller Medical College and Research Centre, Mangalore and went on to pursue Postgraduation (MD) in Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy from Yenepoya Medical College, Mangalore. He also secured his DNB degree in Dermatology. He has pursued special training in Hair Transplantation from IMMAST, Mumbai.

He has experience of working as a Consultant Dermatologist and Cosmetologist in Brindavan Multispeciality Hospital, Mysore. He has completed his training and has secured Fellowship in Aesthetic Medicine in association with the prestigious University of Greifswald, Germany.

He is a recipient of Short-Term Studentship (STS) consecutively thrice by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) for his original research. He has completed a certificate course on Urticaria, Fungal Infections & Aesthetic Dermatology conducted by the prestigious Dermatologic & Aesthetic Surgery International League (DASIL). He has numerous National and International Papers, Publications and Awards to his name, with an extensive research work in the field of Dermatology. He has a total of more than 10 Original articles and review articles in Indexed Journals. He also has about 7 Textbook chapters to his name which are published by Internationally acclaimed Publishing house Academic Press, Elsevier, San Diego, USA.
He is a member of the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists (IADVL), Institute of Laser & Aesthetic Medicine, Karavali Dermatology Society, and Indian Medical Association.
